Katahdin Winter Sun

Some days are perfect for painting in the winter... the sun is crisp and bright;  the air is fresh; joy pervades.  That is how I felt while I painted this view of Mt Katahdin from Millinocket Lake.   At mid-day while I painted, the mountain was full face to the sun.  Everything was bright and hopeful.  What a gift after days of unrelenting cold and snow.
