Rock and Water Petite Manan

Light and fog, playing on the rocks and water near the cabin in Stuben where we stayed for a week in September were enticing.  This painting seemed to make itself, with the beautiful granite boulder settled above the outcropping of black rock, the moving tide and changing fog.  As I painted I wondered at the power of the glaciers which deposited the boulder and the constant motion of tide and wind.
